Coronavirus and Kentigen

18. March 2020

We are trying to be one step ahead and limit the possibilities of spreading the COVID-19 epidemic.

We have reduced visits, departures to customers, and stays at the company to an absolute minimum, so most of the company work remotely. At the same time, we support social distance and hygiene, e.g. washing our hands frequently, not traveling by public transport, not walking among people, not touching the face. In short #staythefuckathome.

We have computers in the office that were idle outside of working hours, so we involved them in the Rosetta@home and Folding@home projects. These are distributed calculations that help scientists search for a cure for SARS-CoV-2.

Specifically, these are the two machines we use to develop parallel record-playback HIL systems for our customer:

• Dell PowerEdge R620 with 2x Xeon E5-2640 @ 2.50 GHz 6-cores, ie a total of 12 cores.
• Lenovo ThinkStation P720 2x Xeon Silver 4114 @ 2.20 GHz, 10 cores, ie a total of 20 cores + GPU Nvidia Quadro P2000.
• Both systems also have a PXI chassis with FlexRIO and other gadgets, on which we are not yet

We will be happy if you join our Kentigen teams
